December2025 - Special Election

Calling for Election Volunteers--a chance to play a critical role in our County Election!

There will be a run-off election for our county assessor on December 30, 2025.  Early voting starts on December 20.  Once again LWVCS is participating by providing workers to help with the election.  More specifically, we will be staffing the Logistics and Supply Center (LaSC) at the Registrar of Voters Office, 1553 Berger Drive, San Jose.  We will be working as LaSC Coordinators.

ROV has about 6 or 7 LaSCs throughout the county, each serving about 7-10 nearby vote centers.  As LaSC coordinators, you would be receiving delivery requests from vote centers and assigning courier teams to deliver the items to the vote centers.  Please email Nina Wong-Dobkin at Membership@lwvcs.org if you have questions. Nina will be working on scheduling volunteers through the weekend (and into the night, if you knew her work hours) and will be responding to your questions.

Signup here - by November 24

There is also mandatory training (even if you had volunteered for this before).  The training session will be online (and will only be about 20 minutes) and ROV would like as many of us as possible to attend the same training.  I hope you are free to take the training on December 4, 3PM.  Let Nina know IF you really cannot make this.
