Our Purpose is:

Using a variety of media channels, we support and coordinate the dissemination of information about, and promotion of, our League’s mission and activities for the community and our members.

Our Work Items

Include:

The Communications Committee concentrates on getting out information content:

VOTER and EBlast Content: Collect, create, edit, and schedule sending of content for our newsletters.
Mass Emails: Create, edit and send other Emails, as needed, to targeted distribution lists about special events or other items of special interest.

Maintain the associated distribution lists, especially updating following elections

Custom Web Page Content: Help League committees develop the content for the custom pages on lwvcw.org, interfacing with OAT to get it posted
LWVCW Calendar: Maintain our online Events/Calendar
Social Media Content: Collect content for, and maintain, our social media, such as:

Photos, Logos, and Graphics
YouTube channel
Facebook page
Instagram site
Texting

Community Outreach:

Communicate with other Leagues to help cross-promote and publicize relevant LWV activities
Represent LWVCS at the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, esp. the Legislative Action Committee

Our Work Items are done by volunteers, (individually or in groups) who make things happen to help make democracy work! Join us!

We're Currently

Working On:

In 2023-24 our plans include:

Supporting the 2024 primary and Presidential election cycle
Analyzing our media impact to improve our outreach to voters in Cupertino and Sunnyvale
Developing partnership programs with allied Leagues and other relevant organizations to expand our mutual reach
Recruiting and training more active committee volunteers – especially media writers and editors.
