Voter Education

Since its beginning in 1920, the League of Women has focused on conducting voter service and citizen education activities. Among those activities are:

Public tables and booths where our member volunteers answer questions about the voting process and assist citizens with registering to vote

Online informative articles that you will find on this site, such as:
- Information about Your Elected Officials
- How to Register to Vote
- About Voting in Cupertino and Sunnyvale
- News articles of interest to voters in Cupertino and Sunnyvale

Presentations (both public and online) that you can find listed on our Calendar and on our YouTube Channel, such as
- Information about Voter Registration and Casting Your Ballot
- Candidate Forums where all candidates for local offices are given equal opportunity to answer questions submitted by attendees
- Pro/Con Presentations where both state and local propositions and measures on the ballot are explained and analyzed in a non-partisan way
- Explanations of issues that affect your voting, such as the Census, Redistricting, and changes in voting laws.

These efforts are funded by our Education Fund, a nonpartisan, nonprofit, public policy educational organization, that:

Builds citizen participation in the democratic process.
Studies key community issues at all government levels in an unbiased manner.
Enables people to seek positive solutions to public policy issues through education and conflict management.
