LWVCS Annual Membership Meeting

The business year for the League of Women Voters starts on July 1 and ends on June 30 of the following year.  Each year we hold a meeting at the end of our "4th Quarter." 

This year our guest speaker is Shannon Bushey, Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, discussing Vote Security and Voter Turnout. 

Our LWVCS Annual Meeting is the most important meeting of the year,  where LWVCS Members: 

• Are updated on the League's activities in the past year
• Elect our Leadership - including Board of Directors, other officers, and members of the Nominating Committee 
  
• Determine our direction, by reviewing, discussing, and adopting:
  • Statements of Position, including reaffirmation or amendment of previously-adopted positions 
  • League Program of action at the Local, County, State, and National levels, as appropriate
  • Proposed changes to our Bylaws
• Exercise financial monitoring and control by:
  • Reviewing past budget performance and  
  • Reviewing and approving the proposed budget for the next two years
    
• Take other actions and hear other presentations as appropriate

 An informative “Annual Meeting Kit” will be distributed to all members in advance of the meeting. 

This year the meeting will once again be held in-person, at the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church, in Soule Hall (shown as 500 on the campus map below)

Our Bylaws require that we have a quorum in order to conduct business, so your attendance is important!
