 Your charitable gift supports everything we do, including:

Providing Nonpartisan voter information such as:
- Election Forums - Candidate Forums and Ballot Measure Pro/Con's
- Voter Guides - both online and print
- Our online "Your Elected Officials" contact list
Building citizen participation in the democratic process:
- Democracy training
- Get Out The Vote (GOTV) activities
- Voter registration events
- Civics Education Initiatives
- Youth voting outreach
Community Education Projects, such as:
- Events and publications on community issues, free of advocacy for any particular bill or ballot measure, that enable people to seek positive solutions to public policy issues through information and conflict management
- Local Observer Corps at public meetings

Action Activities such as:
- Advocacy for League Positions on issues such as:
  - Voting Rights
  - The Election Process
  - Citizens' Rights
  - Congress and the Presidency
  - Social Policy
  - Natural Resources
- Legal actions, when necessary
Ongoing operations such as:
- General membership and community activities
- Fundraising efforts
- Technology and support infrastructure - including:
  - The LWVCS booth and materials for public events
  - Online outlets such as:
  - Other support technology

A Note to our Friends and Supporters of the League of Women Voters of Cupertino-Sunnyvale (LWVCS),

While our all-volunteer local organization functions totally through thousands of hours of effort by our members, it still takes money to cover the costs of delivering on our mission.

We ask non-members in our community, as well as members of our League, to help us financially as we continue our mission of empowering voters and defending democracy.

The dues paid by our members are shared with the LWV National, California State, and County Leagues. The share of dues retained by LWVCS is less than 20%.

100% of donations to the LWVCS Fund, are retained by LWVCS to support our work locally, both during and between major election years. We inform voters about the issues, help them learn impartially about candidates, and make sure that people are able to register to vote and get their votes in to be counted.
